Gina Murphy-Darling has been an active member of the Tucson community for over 35 years. She is married to James Darling and has three wonderful children, Rachel, Katie & Emily and two awesome grandchildren – Madison and Liam.

Gina’s professional experience includes administrative positions in both the private and public sector. She was the founder and CEO of Parents and Children Together (PACT), one of the first in-home counseling businesses in the United States, and the President and Co-founder of Providence Service Corporation, a publicly traded human service organization. Most recently, Ms. Murphy-Darling co-founded and served as the President of StrengthBuilding Partners for 5 years and currently serves as an active member of its Board of Directors.

She is also an active member of Tucson Sunrise Rotary, Angel Charity for Children (where she will serve as Chair in 2009) and is a Board Member of the Las Alturas Homeowners Association.

Gina’s passion for preserving the planet and morphing into Mrs. Green has been a slow, progressive awakening. After attending a conference for the Amazon Herb Company last March, Gina’s awareness began to turn into a passion when she heard the company founder, John Easterling, talk about why the preservation of the rainforest should matter to everyone. Her love of Tucson, her love of children and her commitment to educating “mainstream” people like herself about the confusing “green issue” motivated her to start the show.
